Will i experience any general degeneration in the future if i dont stick to an Organic diet?
I question my self on this subject because i moved to Costa Rica almost 2 years ago and cant find most of the organic vegetables, only a few, and sometimes you have one but not the other, and organic fruits are not introduced or will take years to introduce them in Costa Rica.
If you have an option to purchase Organic fruit please let me know.
Thanks for your help

I don’t worry about organic or not. We will get the same good nutrients either way. Organic means raised without pesticide and in the US a farmer must be certified organic and it is expensive to get that. So a lot of people don’t have the right to say their produce is organic.

Oh, absolutely. Veggies are still veggies, they will have prettymuch the same nutrition properties. I think the main difference between the two is that non-organic vegetables are often grown with pesticides. There is a risk of consuming more toxins and risks of allergies and stuff with those. Its best to wash them even if they are packaged. Buying organic products also tends to support a more ethical farming market.
But yeah if you can’t get a hold of organic vegetables and fruits, its nothing to be worried about. Any kind is much better than nothing.

You will be fine, it’s still healthy. Most of the pesticides aren’t a big deal in fruits and veggies because you can scrub them off. What you should worry about being organic is milk and eggs since non-organic have horomones as well as having the pesticides deep inside the product from the animal’s diet.

Eating organic is great for your body and the planet’s soil. If you have a good independent market in your area or a farmers’ market, you can get many produce items at the same price as conventional at a chain store, but I would tell you that buying organic is not the most pressing issue.
People that consume meat and animal products are the ones who will suffer the greatest consequences from consuming conventional agriculture. All of the pesticide contaminated AND non-human grade grain goes through their system, but the toxic chemicals don’t. They build up more and more the longer the animal is alive and fed this diet. The residue on produce is insignificant compared to that found in the flesh and excretions of tortured livestock.

No prob … I suspect that less pesticides are used in Costa Rica (beautiful country and people IMO, I travel there often) than here in the US. The fruits and veggies there are ptastier than the organically grown here for which you pay an arm and a leg.

IN PA USA: and other parts of usa
I do not think the “organic” I am BUYING and eating is the REAL ORGANIC … but it does seem better to some degree, or maybe it is all my imagination I don’t know….
No, I know it was not my imagination in some cases I was getting HEADACHES from tomatoes and strawberries ~ presumably from the FERTILIZER or other PESTICIDE HERBICIDE SPRAYS…
There are questions in general like WHAT WATER SOURCE is being used to GROW the CROP and what is the SOIL LIKE to begin with…. sometimes there are MINERALS that liek CLARK on KRYPTONITE I begin to TRIP out from, but b/c they are MINERALS they are sometimes labeled as “organic”… Perhaps in this case SYNTHETIC SAFE ELEMENTAL fertilizer would be better…. most of the synthetic stuff on the market today is all TRIPPED OUT, litterally,,,, they could make safe synthetic fertilizer, I do not know why there is not any on the market
I do not like the idea of eating food grown with raped and slaughtered manures … and I think that such is UNHEALTHY… but the USDA apparently labels this as ORGANIC

yes you can but you need to wash them really good… because they have pesticides and stuff on them… fill your sink up with water and soak your veggies for about 5-10 minutes or longer if need be

Hey, how are you checking they are organic in Costa Rica? I was just wondering, since the USDA is the USDA, this could be an ignorant question. I just wanted to make sure you and others knew the USDA is full of it and they require those they ‘Certify Organic’ to use pestiside…yuck !
This is why the local farm I but produce from grows natural, not organic foods.
“Because we’d be encouraged and required to use herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, traps, poisons, hormones, antibiotics and all kinds of management practices that do not secure the long-term interests of the land, the ecology, our customers and our business, that are cruel to animals and that are dangerous to human health.”
