I use them all. And I hope that the composting process helps break down the poisons. There are so many chemicals, poisons and drugs in our rain and our drinking water that the compost is going to get rained on and be full of inorganic matter anyway.

Your question leaves me a tad confused.

You’re asking about what fruits and vegetables to put in your compost…which means (at least to me), which fruits and vegetable kitchen scraps from your own home are “safe” to use in compost?

You’re afraid of residuals that may be in the scraps, which will go into the compost and be present in even more microscopic amounts in anything then grown from soil to which that compost has been added??

In short – you’ll put those foods directly into your body, but you’re not sure if they’re “safe” for your compost?

    Maybe I’m misunderstanding.

But surely, anything you deem good enough to EAT is good enough for your compost.

I put all my kitchen scraps in the compost.

i would not grow it directly on the compost, but in soil that has about 10% of organic matter( compose) so it gets the nutrients. that is the best way to do it
